PSTT Live Lessons 7-11 materials, investigating fabrics

Registration now open

Live, free, online science lesson from the Primary Science Teaching Trust in collaboration with the Great Science Share.

PSTT and the Great Science Share for Schools (GSSfS) are teaming up to deliver a live science lesson for children aged 7-11.

Linked to the theme of fashion, this practical lesson will investigate which fabrics shed the most microfibres. Children will work scientifically, asking questions and sharing their findings as they explore the materials used in everyday clothing.

Led by expert teachers, the session will guide children through a hands-on investigation using readily available classroom resources. This session is suitable for primary classes with children aged 7-11 and their teachers. Class teachers will support pupils throughout the lesson.

The session also offers a taster of PSTT’s Online Science Days 2027, taking place during British Science Week.
