Team behind Did You Know? resource wins Royal Society of Chemistry Education Award

The team behind PSTT’s popular Did You Know? series of articles has won the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Team Prize for Excellence in Primary Education – awarded for taking cutting edge science research and presenting it in formats that could be used by primary school teachers to engage their pupils in the classroom.

The RSC prizes celebrate educators in primary, secondary, further education and higher education – including teachers, technicians and more. These prizes recognise a wide range of skills – from curriculum design to effective teaching, and from personal development to working culture.

The Did You Know? team, which includes six PSTT College Fellows, have produced nearly 50 articles aimed at teachers and adults interested in introducing cutting-edge science research projects to primary age children. The freely available articles are linked to primary science curriculum topics and are written in language that primary children can understand and suggest questions for children to consider. Accompanying Teacher Guides (which can be used as classroom presentations) describe activities and investigations that children can do related to the research.

PSTT are very proud of our Did You Know? articles and the team behind the resource who have worked incredibly hard on its development. Our congratulations go out to:
