Three primary school pupils working together on a science activity in a classroom

Inspirational Online Science Days to celebrate Scottish Inventors

Bring your whole school together for a day of Scottish-inspired science

Registration now open

In the run-up to Burns Night 2026, we will be running Inspirational Science Days for schools across Scotland. Our award-winning teachers will deliver three live online lessons from 9:00-15:00 – aimed at Early, First and Second Level learners. There will also be a standalone nursery day, featuring one live lesson tailored specifically for younger children.

Each session introduces a curriculum-linked scientific investigation, inspired by a Scottish inventor, using easy-to-source resources. Our expert teachers will talk directly to the children, introduce the context and explain what to do. Class teachers support their pupils during the investigations, with full details provided in the Guidance Pack, and later in the day children will have the opportunity to share their discoveries with others.
