Nina Spilsbury has over 40 years’ experience of teaching age groups, from Nursery to Secondary, in both the West and East Midlands.

Kulvinder Kaur Johal has been teaching in a large multicultural school in East London for over 20 years.


Sarah Eames

Area Mentor For The West Midlands

Sarah Eames is a part-time, year 4/5 primary teacher at Sandfield Close in Leicester. She began teaching in 1992 and still thinks it’s the best job in the world. In 2012, she proudly became a Primary Science Teaching Trust Fellow and is now an Area Mentor and runs a successful PSTT Cluster in Leicester.


Dr. Alison Trew

Area Mentor For The South West

Before teaching, Alison worked as a research biochemist on various projects; cancer, pre-eclampsia and Alzheimer’s disease, and delivered biochemistry tutorials to medical students.

Michele Grimshaw joined the Trust as the North West Area Mentor in October 2015 after teaching in a large Primary school in East Lancashire for 20 years.

Debbie Jones is an Area Mentor for the Primary Science Teaching Trust.


Kathy Schofield

Kathy Schofield joined the Trust in February 2013 after a long and varied career, namely as a research scientist for ICI, followed by science subject leader in St Edwards, Runcorn.
