Sue Martin has been a Fellow of the Primary Science Teacher College since 2011. Her teaching career began as a secondary school science teacher; she became a Head of Physics before taking a career break to raise a family and deciding to move to the primary sector as a specialist science teacher. Sue worked as a Deputy Headteacher, during which time she was able to set up and run her own consultancy business, Wow Science! Becoming a full-time consultant, Sue ran CPD sessions and support for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 teachers, trainee teachers and teaching assistants, along with children’s
workshops and holiday camps and shows. She has written and edited commercial materials for the TTS Group and Twig World and for various teaching magazines. Sue supported a number of schools as part of a PSTT funded project to develop investigative science in primary schools. Before becoming Programme Director for the Primary Science Teaching Trust, she was Headteacher of St Martin’s School in Bournemouth and continues to support a cluster of schools in this area.
