PSTT International Conference 2016 draws to a close

Our International Conference is drawing to a close. The final panel discussion covered questions ranging from the place of specialist teaching of science in primary schools to influencing government to take a more enlightened view of encouraging STEM teaching (no clear answer there!) to evolution and ethics.

Jurassic Coast Team honoured by the Royal Geographical Society

PSTT congratulate the Jurassic Coast Team on their award from the Royal Geographical Society (http://jurassiccoast.org/jurassic-coast-team-delighted-receive-geographical-award-royal-geographical-society-ceremony/). The Trust is pleased to be supporting the 'Big Jurassic Classroom Gets Creative with Earth Science' project now starting its third year. The project is working with a network of BJC Superteachers and partners to run a series of Earth Science Discovery Days and develop resources to support teaching Earth Science within the new primary science curriculum.

The PSTT International Conference is in full swing with the opening by the Trust Director, Dudley Shallcross, immediately followed by Alice Robert's intriguing keynote on human embryology and development. Exhibitions have been well attended and delegates are currently in a variety of workshops and talks. There's a real buzz at the Waterfront in Belfast with over 350 delegates attending
