LEARN MORE

We are actively seeking volunteers from diverse backgrounds to join our board of trustees. We passionately believe that a truly inclusive and diverse board of trustees, each with their own unique life experience, viewpoint and skillset, can come together and collectively use the power of their differences to create real impact. We therefore particularly welcome applications from people of colour, people of all ages, people with disabilities, and from across the UK’s regions and nations. Whether you’re an experienced trustee or you’d like to gain board experience – and whatever your own educational background – we’d love to hear from you.

You may have skills in one of the following areas, or could equally importantly add value to the PSTT in other ways:

  • Influencing governments
  • Digital content
  • Marketing
  • Primary schools
  • Finance

As a trustee, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the PSTT’s strategy, develop knowledge and leadership skills, and expand your professional network. We will also support your training and development as a trustee, including providing a ‘buddy’ if needed, and will ensure an inclusive environment throughout your trusteeship. To arrange an informal chat with an existing trustee, contact Wendy Woodsford.

The expected time commitment is four board meetings each year (with the option to join remotely) plus an annual strategy away day. There are also opportunities to join committees and working groups. Trustees are unpaid, but we will cover your expenses.
